not awesome...
The rest of the men who were on the trip, who were said to be 'previously healthy guys in their 40s and 50s' have all since fallen ill, with one coughing up blood, according to sources.

Yeesh. Let's hope it doesn't come to that.

My brother has spina bifida, and suffered a terrible infection in his lungs due to a shunt detachment back in the 80’s. His wife is a nurse, who will be unable to call in sick and will be repeatedly exposed. His death, after a point, becomes probable.

I’m just replaying that in my head.
They came in and were very smiley and nervous and told me I had a very bad flu and *probably* typhoid, we’re not 100%. I asked them does flu usually last this long with this much coughing. It can. You can go home now. But we need you to come back on Tuesday. And you’re still unwell and it’s the flu so best to stay self isolating and not spread to anyone else.

Im suspicious. But I’m home so happy.

That’s the thing. I looked up typhoid when I came home. It’s treated with antibiotics.
They gave me nothing.
Just an appointment for Tuesday morning for more bloods and an x ray

I’m not kidding.

Nope. I was on a regular drip with a funny German name and I googled it and it’s just calcium and isotopes
Only medication I got were headache tablets and I had to ask for them

Fine, I’m kind of surprised you didn’t get all your vaccines before traveling to Cambodia!

Julia got a bunch before her trip to Vietnam and again this year to India. Including typhoid

I can’t back it up cos I only heard it on a radio panel here the other day but our health service has better results and outcomes than the insured sector of the US health sector (per capita.)
Go figure.

A stadium employee who worked at the XFL's Seattle Dragons home game Feb. 22 at CenturyLink Field has tested positive for the coronavirus, King County health officials said, but as of now, no games scheduled to be played at the facility have been canceled.

...

The Seattle Times reported that the employee who tested positive for the virus -- which causes the disease known as COVID19 -- was a concessions vendor.
