tree you're a weird dude. I don't like the song either, but I'm not trying to convince everyone else they shouldn't like it.

And considering Who Ever Said is going to be a top-20 song, Gigaton is actually off to a tremendous start.

And actually, I don't mind the music. I just can't get past the vocals

Better than green disease!

I think this was written to be the staple 3rd or 4th song every night for the next 3 years. Released as a single with the hopes of getting more casual fans or pit fans to bite and get excited live. The elements are there, call and response, extended solo which they may need to jam around in order to transition out.

Ed was obviously over excited about all the melody he had to play with that instead of choosing just one, he utilized all of them.

This is total ear candy to me, guys.

I'm not trying to convince anyone. Just talking about why I don't like it. Sharing my opinion, just like everyone else. I'm really not upset, Strat, I promise. But when people like Stip mock me and misrepresent my opinions, I have every right to defend myself and my views.

Listening to SBWM and then DotC back to back my main conclusion is that wow, DotC might just be a great song...

Time to find a new band. We need a band to unite us, not divide us.

Remember the good ol' days of DOTC??

Ah. A lifetime ago. A united front.

No and I was definitely ready for it to do that.

As I would hope everyone on the board knows, I am often a cheerleader for the band's weirder Matt Cameron-era rockers. I'm a big fan of Evacuation, Cropduster, Big Wave, Johnny Guitar, My Father's Son, Olé, etc.

I wish I felt the same way about this song. It's not the vocals I have an issue with, it's the song structure, melody and chord choices. It's a bafflingly strange song and not in a "pleasantly weird" way. It feels badly-written, badly-constructed and subsequent listens haven't revealed any hidden depths.

Superblood Wolfmoon digital singles for some. Miniature American flags for others.

Shucks. Was hoping you'd come around to it. For no particular reason other than its been good to see you excited about pearl jam!

For me, it is definitely "pleasantly weird" and Ed feels excited and committed.

This song is the rock music equivalent of the movie Suicide Squad.
