Saw until ep 4 so far, not feeling this season at all. Carm scene with the claire was awful.

I did liked the syd ep more ; felt like a Atlanta lite to me.

i'm through 7 episodes

it's a very well made show, very artsy, thoughtful, well-written, -edited, -acted

the plot doesn't always move, and that's OK with me because of all the other positives, but I can see how it turns some people off

You were told you’re not allowed watch this until you have watched Andor, both seasons, and came back with your review. Bed early and no desert for you young man.

Season feels very plodding. Everyone is so annoying. There are some very nice moments and few that had me shed a tear, but it’s all bookended by annoyance

yeah, Carmy is a sociopath at this point. He is plain insufferable and its really weird why everyone has to put up with him.

Ill watch ep 5 tonight.

he's definitely making efforts to improve. the dude is struggling and everyone knows it, and they know why. you're the sociopath for not empathizing with his plight!

About halfway through episode 7:

After episode 7:
Spoiler: show
That episode was so sweet and touching that I am really worried the last two are going to be tough. I’ve just had this nasty feeling all season. I was worried about Carm early on, but now I’m really worried about Richie. Comedy of the year!

I can't believe how much this show fell off a cliff. It's so, so dull.

It makes me doubt season one was even any good. It's so boring and nothing happens and they have so many heartfelt sappy conversations. Yuckkkkkkkkk

Yeah it is kinda funny how everyone is a poet. They look miserable while they smoke outside and they are frustrated and someone else comes near and: “ ey you good?” “ nah my dad is calling” “ mm yeah sometimes being near is being far” or some shit like that

After watching the first few episodes of this season, I couldn’t help comparing this show to Seinfeld in the oddest way. I’ve heard many people over the years opine that about 50% of Seinfeld episodes wouldn’t work if there were cell phones because a quick call could solve nearly all of their problems. The Bear is sort of the opposite but also sort of the same? The characters spend so much time looking at their phone screens that the show really wouldn’t be the same without it, their connectedness at all times is a real essential piece of the fabric of the show. But you’re right, they could also solve their problems if they’d just fucking pick up. I’d love to see someone crunch the numbers, I bet at least 2/3 of calls on the show are not answered.

I think season 1 and 2 are still good. It just became a victim of its own success and turned into a meandering mess.

I love a slow burn and I don't think all episodes need to advance the plot necessarily. But come on.
