Also Strat you might’ve been at EGE the same time as Mrs Spike
Gets a lot smaller when you stick to the affluent white person spots.Chris_H_2 wrote:Back in Rome for two days to wrap this trip up. Today was a good day.
Random encounter - ran into another attorney I know well from chicago behind the capitoline museum (my favorite view of rome). this after my wife ran into a former colleague in positano last week. which was two days after I ran into an old college buddy near piazza del popolo last week. Such a big, but small, world.
Lol. Flight delayed three times.spike wrote:Good luck on the quick part, especially if you’re connecting through DIA.Strat wrote:Quick trip to Baltimore to meet up with the Mrs. for a few days before we come back home.
Meeting up with friends and going to the orioles and twins game.
Flying out of Vail and beer in hand. Boop
The airport looks like the end of the world. Cots laid out everywhere. Food carts from airlines to customers. I should have just walked to baltimore.spike wrote:Sorry man. I don’t think it’s going to get better until after the holiday at this point.
Mrs. Spike has boarded her flight, but now they’re delayed due to potential Chicago weather ffs. She had flights booked on two other airlines as well to hedge.
Yeah I imagine it’s only gotten worse today. Overheard people yesterday saying they’ve been stuck there for three days. The entire place is scuzzy as fuck. Hope you get out, or least find a rental car to take back home.Strat wrote:The airport looks like the end of the world. Cots laid out everywhere. Food carts from airlines to customers. Or grabbed a tent and went out to the middle of nowhere.
Go Orioles
I'm pretty sure the flight crew reaches a point where they will go beyond, or potentially, go beyond their time to fly and need to rest. the pilots have to have a certain amount of hours of rest.wease wrote:WTF does “timed out” mean?
FAA regulations on how long pilots and crew members are on duty.wease wrote:WTF does “timed out” mean?
Ah. That’s what was holding up our youngest flying from Charlotte to Nashville on Monday. They were waiting on crew to come back on. Her flight was supposed to leave at 5:something pm. It didn’t leave till 11:50pm and we didn’t get back home with her until 3am.Strat wrote:FAA regulations on how long pilots and crew members are on duty.wease wrote:WTF does “timed out” mean?

Why would they even put the crew on the fucking plane knowing their time would be up?
