My love for "FourFiveSeconds" is probably balanced out by how much I dislike "Only One"

Not too long ago I ended up listening to Only One over and over again in the middle of a pretty desolate night, so now I have a soft spot for it.

It's the absolute nadir of Kanye's oeuvre for me.

It didn't strike me the first time I heard it, but it's really clicked for me lately. Sort of a minimal, avant-garde version of what he was doing on 808s.

Yeah. I guess I bought into the whole "lullaby for his daughter from the perspective of his dead mother thing," so I get kinda choked up at the end when he sings "Tell Nori about me." And I actually do really like the melody.

When I'm nervous or anxious, I unconsciously hum the main theme from Star Wars. I just consciously realized that.

That's an interesting tic. I usually try to imagine myself as Patrick Bateman when I feel that way. It actually helps, too.

My daughter just began learning to play the cello... my absolute favorite string instrument...

It's painful to hear right now, but hopefully it's a quick learning curve...

Learning the cello is awesome, I played up until my late teens. The early days are rough but maybe you could look into soundproofing her room or something.

I actually pushed for her to play the cello she's 11 and a proficient piano player and can read music very well... and irl, there's nothing more peaceful and soothing than observing as she gets better and better, but GD! some of those high notes can be shrill!!!

I think 90% of the music I listen to these days has no singing. I just don't care what any of these people have to say about life, love, George Bush, etc anymore. I just like the sounds.
