So very true. Still hoping in maybe 10 years they get the magic back...very unlikely though.

Normal Person and Afterlife are emerging as my favourite tracks. That riff in NP is unfuckwithable.

It reminded me a bit of out of my mind. I may link the parts later.

The "Your Already Know" intro still makes me laugh but I have to agree with stip about the Normal Person intro. That thing gets annoying fast. Especially the "ohhh man". He sounds so self important.

That's my only complaint about the album, I still love the rest. Afterlife is my favorite right now. That song is just SO good.

Yeah, this is still a fantastic record.

I just turned it on.

I saw the end of Afterlife.

REggie Watts pisses me off.

You turned it on just as the "live music video" of "Afterlife" was ending (it was really good-- I'm sure it'll be up shortly), and just as Jason Schwartzman and Reggie Watts started the MOST AWKWARD AWARD CEREMONY HOSTING EVER.

Then I turned it off.

This is a good album guys. Early favorites are normal person, Joan of Arc, afterlife.

This album is definitely getting better and better for me with each listen. Familiarity is a funny thing.
Reflektor, We Exist, Normal Person, Joan of Arc, and It's Never Over (Oh Orpheus) have been actively stuck in my head the past couple days.
The way it usually works for me when I am really into certain songs and not others is I listen to the songs I am really into on repeat until I get hungry for other material from that band, and then I latch on to the songs I wasn't as into before.

This idea is hard to wrap the head around I think, but if any song were to speak for me or represent where I am at in life right now it would be Reflektor. It's been a while since a song has done that for me.

It's been over a week and this album knows how to continuously grow on me. For me "Afterlife" has entered the pantheon of great Arcade Fire songs with "Tunnels", "Keep the Cars Running", and "We Used to Wait".
