The real Bob will appear in the monologue and all the skits instead of Shallow May.

I've got some cool shit if you want to be enabled.

I did collect all the 50th anniversary copyright sets and at one point made compilations of the 1966 and 1975 complete live sets for shit and giggles. I'd probably take another look at all that stuff if I was to do anything serious. But it's been a long time since I've been interested. Haven't even looked into the most recent set.

Also did pristine vinyl transfers of all the Blonde On Blonde alternate mixes and general mono mixes that have not been released digitally. It's good shit maaaaan.

Kevin can attest to this.

Those Blonde alt takes would be pretty juicy.

They're alternate mixes. He kept changing his mind and remixing the mono version and earlier mixes leaked out in different countries.

He did the same thing with the stereo mix but only once. Only a few scattered tracks made it to CD. And each CD was remixed all over again.

It's crazy.

Ah OK, alt mixes are slightly less interesting but would still be juicy I imagine.

The Lost Mono Mixes compilation is one of my flat-out favorite Dylan boots, period. And I have lots.

I listened to the 1974 Live Recordings set from beginning to end last November-December. I never much cared for Before the Flood but I thought the box set was awesome.

Zeb, all the Blonde on Blonde/Highway 61 etc. outtakes are on the “Cutting Edge” bootleg series, some iteration of which I think is on streaming services.

Thanks KD, I have spent a bit of time with that collection, that's by far my favourite Dylan period so I should revisit it soon.

I heard two of the songs from the film with Chamalamalay singing them. He does great! Sounds exactly like Bob! Better even

I don’t know if this makes me basic, but my favorite Dylan album is Freewheelin’

Freewheelin' is great! It's one of those albums that has just gotten better and better for me over the years, especially as outtakes and other material from around that time has become available. That whole period is just such an incredible lightning-in-a-bottle moment, goofy and slight as some of it is.

Part of the extensive inclusion of Dylan in the studio albums thread revolves around figuring this out too, because I just don’t know. There’s several albums in contention for sure, and if you asked me without listening, Blonde on Blonde might take it for me, but that’s the point of listening and being open to another one. Highway 61 is right up there with it, as is Blood on the Tracks. I guess I will know in short order. All of them will probably end up somewhere near the top of the overall list I have been keeping.

You mentioned my other three favorites. But there’s something about the raw sound and emotion on Freewheelin’ that always hits the right spot for me.
