Yeah, that makes sense. The timezone difference plus insomnia, would certainly seem like you never sleep from my point of view .
Hope the insomnia passes soon, I know that can start to drive people insane.

I went gradually insane just over three years ago, been trying to claw myself back to reality for a while now.

insomnia...i hate it. Im actually a lot better but i was way fucked up a few months ago. Nearly sleeping 3 or 4 hours per day.

Being a dick means you are going out of your way to ruin other people's enjoyment of a shared public space. It drives people from the board, stops others from posting, can derail or distract from interesting conversations, and adds basically nothing other than some puerile enjoyment for people who apparently enjoy making other people uncomfortable.

Anything worthwhile that happens here can happen without that. That's not arguing, that's not criticism, that's not joking around. It is not required to be funny. It's going out of your way to be an asshole to other people.

We basically don't censor what people do, but at least for me personally (not that you will necessarily care) I lose so much respect for the people who get off doing this, and the board is worse off for it.

Most people who are trying to be dicks are doing it while attempting humor. Some succeed, most fail.....

when it's funny the humor usually offsets the harm. Plus the funny ones are funny without having to repeat the same assholeish joke over and over and over again, because maybe the 10th time will be the time it works...

Pretty much 99.99999% of people who attempt this type of humor fail at it profoundly. They all come across as 18 year-olds who just discovered the Maddox website.

I kinda think he's always joking, though I think he's very straight-faced about it and hopes people will understand that about him. I'm the same, and I don't really use many smilies, so I frequently get into Interwebs trouble.
