We watched "Spy" last night and surprising he was one of the best parts (esp. the obvious mockery of his Transporter character) of an unexpectedly funny movie.
He was great in that movie

Watched Entourage. Meh, it was like watching a really long episode of the series. It wasn't terrible, but not really memorable or needed. Whatever, it was ok, but I doubt it's a movie I'll ever revisit.

"Inside Out"

holy fuck. Best picture of last year by far. Maybe last several years. Pete Docter is a genius.

I didn't mind Inside Out, but I thought it was a bit overrated.

We just went to Zootopia. Enjoyable, but kinda ham handed at times. I love the hell out of Jason Bateman though.

What have you seen so far? I think Porco Rosso might be my favorite.

years ago i watched spirited away, princess mononoke, castle in the sky (remember very little from it), and kiki's delivery service

last summer i just watched the castle of cagliostro, my neighbor totoro, and kiki's delivery service...i was trying to go in order of release, but missed nausicaa of the valley of the wind...but i watched it the other day so i'm back on track

The Brothers Grimsby was one of the most poorly made movies I've ever seen. On the other hand, Rock the Kasbah was a very pleasant surprise. It's a breath of fresh air to see a new movie by someone who understands pacing, editing, and structure. Although that doesn't say much for our current film culture.

Brothers Grimsby doesn't look good at all. The only marketing they do is "its funny because something happens that we can't show on TV but can show shocked audiences". Fucking stupid.

That's exactly what the movie is, too. And the "outrageous" scenes usually aren't even funny.

That's a shame - I was kinda looking forward to seeing this
