yeah, this was like...2010? i was way in the back too.
not as loud as when i saw The War On Drugs this past summer at the same venue (Cain's Ballroom), but still pretty loud.

Yeah I saw them at a festival and they were very quiet and dull. Did not even sound like live music

They mechanically raced through their songs and left. Barely said a word to the audience. Disappointing.

the black keys should've spent more time ripping off these guys.

Magic Potion is the only album of theirs that I ever go back to, but I enjoy songs from all of the albums up to Turn Blue. I've never heard the last two albums.
The last two are variations on the same 70s rock theme. They are both very digestible and fun albjms. Won’t knock your socks off but won’t disappoint unless you are looking for something different.

I saw them first at the Orpheum in Boston as a two piece, that was a great set and the sound filed the room well. Their attempt to open for PJ at the Garden as a four piece was miserably poor, saw them headline a few festivals later and they simply cannot command that space.

loud does not equal good though.
This seemed to be the Jack White shows I've attended after the the Stripes, acoustically some of the worst shows I've ever seen.

I wonder how far we are from a having a Dall-E type of service for music that creates songs based on user input. And when will we have the first major hit by AI? 10 years from now? At least there's tons of music online which it can already analyze thanks to various streaming services.

Definitely in the next 10 years.

And what's going to happen to live music when the singer of a major hit doesn't actually exist?
