Even if that's true, at this point, hundreds of thousands of deaths are on our own hands at this point. If we'd have gotten a two month heads up, we could have been doing jack shit in January instead of doing jack shit in March.

Our problem was/is Trump, no question. But when you look at the globalized nations that have done well (Aus, NZ, Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore) they have something in common beyond competent leaders... they are islands and thus can control human flow better than the EU or the Americas

I'm not trying to kiss WHO ass. Faster action totally could have saved lives, but it was never going to say in China, and at some point, after doing very little to protect our own citizens, the blame for deaths moved from WHO or China to us. Once we understood how to protect ourselves and refused to do that for months on end, we can't cry about China anymore. Everyone that had a big Thanksgiving dinner when the public health officials begged them not to carry as much blame, if not more, for the death of their loved ones as China does.

Not that I'm not sympathetic, but snide attacks at WHO and China at this point are as useful as blaming President Ford for his poor handling of the Swine Flu.
