Crimson Peak. Meh.
It has its moments, but it's not in the same league. Whoever made this is no Adam McKay.tragabigzanda wrote:Fuck, I was really excited for this after The Other Guys.Rangi Guy wrote:For some stupid reason watched Daddy's Home last night. Not great
Did you watch The Other Guys? How does it compare? If I get blazed will I laugh for 90 mins?

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.
I might add that those moment a pretty few and far between. Other then that - I have nothing to add from what Jordan saidtragabigzanda wrote:LoathedVermin72 wrote:It has its moments, but it's not in the same league. Yes, in case it wasn't clear, this is not a good movieRangi Guy wrote:I might add that those moment a pretty few and far between. i still haven't seen this...i didn't care much for the first avengers so i've thought about just reading a plot description before moving on to the next marvel cinematic blockbuster event of the yearb_i_revisited wrote:"Avengers: Age Of Ultron"
Stupid, worse than Avengers 1.
I watched it over the weekend too. Way too much rushed exposition. The fights continue to look like cartoons. I like the characters though.b_i_revisited wrote:"Avengers: Age Of Ultron"

Ryan would have been great as the dying girl.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:i feel like this should star jason lee and ryan goslingdurdencommatyler wrote:Me, Earl and the Dying Girl.
This is exactly what's especially annoying about the two Avengers movies, too much deference to comic books. Winter Soldier had plenty of yakking, but worked beautifully because it took a relateable human story and wrapped modern politics and well shot action around it. It was a good Bourne/Bond film whose protagonist just happen to be 'gifted'. The Avengers movies are basically Bay's Transformers movies but with much better actors.Monkey_Driven wrote:I watched it over the weekend too. Way too much rushed exposition. Just read this in a review. Think this seals it and I won't bother to go and see this.Rangi Guy wrote:That's a shame - I was kinda looking forward to seeing thisLoathedVermin72 wrote:The Brothers Grimsby was one of the most poorly made movies I've ever seen.
This movie is so atrocious I kept waiting for Nick Cage to show up.
