Pretty sure I left Spotify playing RHCP radio for extended periods around the time Unlimited Love dropped. My Spotify wrapped says I'm in the top 1% of RHCP listeners and I couldn't be more embarrassed.

I did get the "adventurer" tag for 900+ unique artists, though.

My top 5 was Pearl Jam, Bruce Springsteen, Allman Brothers Band, Eddie Vedder, and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. Funny is that I don’t remember going on any extended Springsteen listening binges in 2022, but the rest is true.

The rest was Pumpkins, King Gizzard, Jack White and black midi. I can live with that, but... hell no, my name ain't Bradley!

Top five: Kendrick Lamar, Decemberists, Gang of Youths, St. Vincent, Tom Waits

RHCP came back in a big way for me. Band of the year for sure. Also Haim was a revelation. Specially after seeing them live.

I've been pretty happy with 2022 musically - few bands in there that'd I'd given up on had some ov my favourites releases of the year - bunch of goodnees to be had this year

To me, the first ~6 months felt like a barrage of established artists releasing underwhelming shit. It came right by the end, though.
