For the record: Im fine with things being open. I dont think going to the grocery store or traveling are the big spreaders and the reasons for the chaos.

unfortunately, you have a large % of the population not giving a shit and they dont take the precautions necessary which ends up impacting the rules and regulations. I think its bullshit that the Bars and restaurants in Minnesota can't be open. In Vail - we're open for business and doing fine. We also dont have a large portion of oour population violently defying orders from the state (like we see in MN) which ends up ruining it all for everyone else.

Humans sucks. But its unfortunate that even dudes here that i generally respect continue to spread bullshit like "Oh what derp derp its spread in households so why dont we shut down our homes?!?!"

i don’t have any symptoms yet so that must mean construction site port-o-potties don’t spread disease and are a safe place to gather and drink if your local pub is closing early

I was going to keep quiet on this but here you go

Had my covid test yesterday (simple swab, not the brain toucher kind this one you stick the swab straight in and not up)

Should know my results tomorrow. I’m fairly certain I have it though. Monday started to feel a slight fever, some minor aches and pains, lethargic and a brief cough. So far that’s the extent of my issues (day 4 of symptoms).

Since maybe this has all started I have been very careful going out and interacting in any large groups. If I do go out I have worn a mask. I have stopped at my aunts house once (still wore my mask) and went to one family gathering in September (even though I didn’t want to it was to get over my anxiety from my heart issues)

How did I get it then? My brother had to spend Christmas Eve with his best friends. Day after Christmas their brother in law found out he was positive. So my brother (tested positive)has it and he likely infected me and potentially my step father.

So yea you may think it’s no big deal of you going to do something but you just never know

I just have to worry about what effects it will have on my heart rate and history with afib and breathing that comes along with it. Thankfully nothing to worry about as of yet but mentally it’s fucking draining. Plus the fact that I can’t do a large portion of my job for the next two weeks or so.

There is some chatter about administration of the Holy Juice to as many as possible without holding back doses for the second shot. They think effectiveness goes from 95 to 80 but don't seem to know much. It kind of seems moot since tons of people are noping out of taking it and they can't figure out how to get rid of the doses they do have anyway.

My wife got the vaccine on Tuesday. Her arm was pretty sore during the night, said she kept waking up because of it but other than that it was fine.
