Visitation tonight before stepdad’s funeral in the morning. What an exhausting exercise; I understand they are not customary in some religions/cultures and I fully endorse that.

My family is catholic all the way up so I've done my fair share of viewings. Not sure how I feel about them overall, some have been important to me, some kinda gruesome to be honest.

Sorry spike.

Stepdad’s funeral, burial, back to my sister’s house for gathering. Spoke to a few people (mostly ones I didn’t care to), then wife texted me from bedroom upstairs she’s shivering and feels ill. Teledoc said go to urgent care, so we’re in the ER now since all urgents closed. What a day.

A tourist destination church near me was getting rid of stuff so I took a massive box of old coins off them full of currency from all around the world and in there was four American dollar coins from 2000 and there’s a Native American woman is the feature on the coin and apparently they might be worth quite a bit?

Anyone know what the deal is with these? I don’t want them they’ll just sit in a drawer here

so..last night at around 930 I was taking my dog out for a walk on the 6th floor of our apartment building..they have a dog area there..he just finished peeing and I hear about 6 gun shots..we came back up to the apartment and my wife asked me if I heard it..within seconds we had a dozen cop cars and ambulances across the street..apparently a dispute and 2 guys shot each other..not sure of their conditions yet..we didn't sleep well

That’s the Sacagawea dollar coin. Unless you got some of the rare-pressed ones in there, they’ll be worth a dollar each. They made like hundreds of millions of these, IIRC. They were everywhere

Turns out she has an infection likely caused by antibiotics she was taking for a sinus infection. Doc said fluids, BRAT diet, and ride it out. She’s not great today but fever seems to have passed at least.
