There are so many ways to evaluate a series finale. I can understand why opinions vary so much.

I think the final season was good, and I’m pleased with how and where the characters ended up. But I think the final episode was by far the weakest episode, probably of the entire series.

I think this whole thing about picking on certain individual episodes of a show like GOT is kinda pointless. It’s a huge interconnected story that takes years to tell. Each episode includes snippets of that larger overall story. You need them all to connect the beginning to the end (for the most part).

An exception would be something like the Nicki & Paulo episode of Lost.

Nit-picking of individual episodes makes way more sense with a show like Seinfeld, for example. Each episode stands on its own.

For the record, Seinfeld is a shitty example to use here because every single episode was great. Perhaps a better example would be The Simpsons or Black Mirror.

I liked how at the table read, every one but Kit seemed to know what was coming. His reactions were great.

Just finished a rewatch.
They’ve literally set the table to come back to all of it in a few years. After an arya spin off series

The person pushing hardest for this will be Kit Harrington, when he's hard-up and destitute and can't land any other good roles.

He'll be the latest victim to the "career defining" character that no one can get past, much like his predecessors Mark Hammill, Elijah Wood, Daniel Radcliffe, Mark Paul Gosselaar, and Jaleel White.

Wow this is happening right away. I was thinking it’d be at least a couple years.
