Would've been even funnier had Danny Clinch just sat there awkwardly.

Spoiler: show
I know that's not Judd Apatow. I'm making a dumb reference to an old conversation a while back. .

Upon recent listen, Infallible and Pendulum are alright.

Someday, the reappraisal this album so richly deserves will happen, and I just hope I'm alive to see it

I'll settle for Backspacer for now, though

Wendy Carlos's Twin wrote:I loved "Riot Act" on first listen and I still love it. "S/T" was the first time I said, "what the fuck is this crap?". It seems like the more Bon Jovi-ish they get, the more people like them. Just a reflection of prevailing (poor) taste.
Bon Jovi? Let's be honest, if anything, it sounded like Billy Squier.

I have fond memories of listening to the 4(?) song leak of this album. But not the album itself.

I’m still here. It’s just the world of streaming has really diminished interest in the general public having physical media. I still buy stuff for me and I preach my reasons for loving Pearl Jam, but it’s a different world. Lightning Bolt was the last Pearl Jam album I spun a CD for a while. At the time, I listened mostly to my iTunes album purchase download and now I am mostly on YouTubeMusic as I get to upload my own library beyond what YouTube has.

Over the past couple months I've been working through PJ's full studio catalogue with my 7-year-old when I drive him to school. We usually get two songs in each morning. Of course I offer bits of commentary and public opinion in various spots to try to contextualize the general status of each album. I had mentioned at some point that Lightning Bolt was probably regarded as their worst effort.

On Monday of this week we finally reached LB and listened to Getaway and Mind Your Manners; he immediately declared it his second-favorite (after Ten).

Those days were great. I remember our oldest singing the “oh yeahs” in Leaving Here when she was around that age.
