The scene when all the ships and lando arrive and the music swells and it’s the Actual fanfare is just so brilliant. It’s never appeared in any of the films like that

The film was released just three months ago. Almost to the day.

Look up ‘great movies that ruined hollywood’ for a far better analysis of that idea. Which this clown is just trying to make his own.

Also this movie is deeply stupid but it's not on purpose and it's not a virtue

I actually posted the truth of this a few years back and nobody got it except you.

I come from the land of playwrights and have delusions of Joyce and Beckett and Behan.

All my posts I have saved for a hefty tome to come.

Ulysses but for the internet age.

There is no doubt that JJ just went for it with TROS (on purpose), and it can absolutely be seen as a virtue. The movie was a thrill ride, and if you embraced that, there is a good chance you would love it. I just think the explanation in the article about TROS was fairly weak. Like Kylo being on the death star, that’s a terrible example.

It’s beautiful though. They face off in exactly the same room as Luke faced vader and palpatine. Then they leave before they beat the snot out of each other and it wasn’t lost on me him crushing the way finder in that room. That wasn’t an accidental choice.
JJ giving a finger to all those moany cunts even though he’d never admit it.

Yeah, but nothing felt earned. That piece of music is one of my favorite snippets of star wars music, but plugging it into that TROS scene is cheap.

Ugh. I was doing so good, avoiding this place. LOL

That channel is more commerciallly driven and ad revenue driven than anything even Lucas or Disney managed to come up with

I’m not dumb enough to give it a click.
Life is too short and getting shorter.
