Big Empty. Not tough at all.

The four best songs in this round are going against each other.

I was already a fan of STP when they premiered Big Empty on Unplugged, but that was the moment that made me fall in love with STP. I immediately started searching through my BMG catalog and I ordered The Crow soundtrack (on cassette) because I had to have that song. Several months later Purple hit the shelves and became one of my favorite albums of my youth. (When I got Purple it was one of the first three CDs I ever owned. The other two that I purchased at the same time were Vitalogy and Nirvana Unplugged. Not a bad way to start a CD collection.)

Chloe/Crown is wonderful. I love it and it deserved an easier matchup, but Big Empty has a really special place in my heart.

I like both of these. Chloe Dancer/Crown of Thorns isn't as good as it means to me. Big Empty is hands down the better song. This isn't a difficult choice for me. But it does hurt to vote against Chloe Dancer/Crown of Thorns really holds a special place in my heart.

Purple is one of my favorite albums, and Big Empty is one of the gems there. Still Chloe Dancer/Crown of Thorns has a very special place in my heart. Whenever I listen to it, it brings me back to another time. Have to vote for Chloe Dancer/Crown of Thorns for that reason.

For the record, neither of these songs has a special place in my heart.

It's because you're too young to have seen The Crow in theaters.

Big Empty is just amazing.

My favorite song from The Crow is Burn by The Cure, but Big Empty is an STP classic. I like the sorta bayou blues thing they have going on in the song.

That original Crow soundtrack was baller.

Lots of great songs on that soundtrack. Burn, Dead Souls, After the Flesh...

Helmet - Milquetoast

Color Me Once, Golgotha Tenement Blues, Slip Slide Melting, Snakedriver...

Not a dud among them.

Oh fuck yeah Milquetoast and Golgotha also rule.

I'm mildly (and pleasantly) surprised by these results.
