A lot of great players here, but I'm voting for Billy and Mike. I think Billy wrote the most interesting songs. Mike wrote my favorite moments.

Kim and Stone but I don't know anything, just what I like.

Who was the best guitarist in Soundgarden, between Thayil and Cornell. Cornell could be amazing on the guitar.

And STONE b/c he's the Bossman and I'm his Bitch.

Difficult...pretty much all of those made a song or a moment i love.

well, its not really clear. I know he wrote a part of mayonaise. I love his contributions live and i still dont know what he played on the albums or if he played at all.

tbh them looking cool was a huge part of their appeal and balanced out corgan's annoyingness.

i mean, half the point of being in a rock band is to look weird and cool and they had that covered.

Billy probably had the most talent. Jerry wrote the best parts. Kim was the coolest. Mike has seemed mostly functional for so long it's easy to forget how on fire he was during that period. Dean was sneaky great. I can't decide.

I went with Mike and Stone. Because I'm not qualified to speak to most of these people, I just went with the two I like the most and am the most familiar with. I probably shouldn't have voted at all. This is how we ended up with Trump. Let me be a cautionary tale for all of RM.

If I could, I'd vote for Dean, Jerry, Kim, and Stone. So, I'll pick according to the rules: Dean and Kim because of their tones.

Billy and Kim. Billy has a level of technical wizardry and textural control that no one else can approach. Kim because he plays weird, heavy riffs and he loves the Melvins.

Jerry fucking Cantrell needs some love up in this piece

Then obviously Corgan and Kim. But Jerry came through with some banging riffs that still kill. Even the riffs on their post Layne albums go hard.

i love jerry....seeing him live is a must.
