This is par for the course around here. Americans inherently believe that the worst thing you can do with the freedom to protest is actually use it.
And also that the government is coming for their guns.

Don't these football players understand that we expect them to damage their bodies for our entertainment? It's way less entertaining when we have to imagine them having thoughts and feelings and shit.

I’ve never been one of those people who say they’re going to leave the country because whoever is the president. They come and go. Lately it’s some of my fellow Americans that are making me think about cashing everything in and going somewhere else.

My mom is really mad about the football players kneeling, on account of how disrespectful it is to veterans; she never watches football but has announced a boycott of the NFL, a declaration she shared on Facebook while my dad -- who is an actual veteran -- was in the other room watching the Bears.
It's no wonder we are where we are.
