The Mynabirds wrote:You've got a good heart, baby.
You've got a good heart, it's true.
Mine's not so strong, but, you know, I've got this song.
And if you keep the beat, I'll keep the tune.

well you're high on top
of your mountain of woe
come on up to the house
well you know you should surrender
but you can't let go
you gotta come on up to the house

Potentially off-topic because it looks like we're talking about lyrics. Since the board has been discussing Tegan and Sara lately (what with Danny O'Malley's work with them, and bmacsmith's distaste for the latest album), I think the way "The Con" wraps up is wonderful. The last song is called "Call it Off": lyrically and musically, it resolves a lot of the themes of the album. But my favorite thing is that the percussion track is the sound of a drum kit being pulled apart and put away.

So awesome. And akin to the sound of Jeff Mangum setting down his guitar and walking out of the studio to end Aeroplane, and vanish for a decade.
