If there's already a thread in PJ for this, merge me. Otherwise...

This show deserves its own thread. I'm pretty sure this is the single greatest show the band has ever performed. It's basically flawless. Some of the best versions of these songs are played during this show. Release is phenomenal. Hard to Imagine has it's perfect performance. Tremor Christ is great, and Immortality has completely different (and lesser) lyrics but is spectacular. This is the band I love more than any other band ever. This band. Pearl Jam.

Also, I even love Even Flow in this show. And I'm typically terribly bored with the song.

It's a real shame they let Brendan O'Brien mix the official release of this show, it sounds like hot garbage.

I think it's ok to have threads for some of their iconic shows, and this is certainly one of them. However, for this thread to survive you'll have to name it by proper show thread naming standards

Just thought I'd drop in to say if you haven't already got Chud and Spenno's respective versions of this show (matrix with audience, patched with audience and bonus soundboard tracks, patched with bonus soundboard only), you'll find them where all good ridleybradout and associates projects live

I respect your comments and opinions, but I have to disagree. While there are undeniably some spectacular individual song performances, I don't feel that the show is a standout from 94. I always felt that set lists with lots of b-sides etc don't have the same flow, intensity and vibe as your more standard set. one or two strategically placed in the set are ok, but beyond that i think it is a compromise.

With this show, I really don't like the placement of release - it serves much better as an opener and eddie's voice sounds tired and strained after just blasting out 'Blood'. Similarly with Tremor Christ, it sits better early up like a typical 95 setlist. Finally, the lack of 'porch' is a let down, particularly as the 94 versions were amazing.

In relation to the official release, the omission of Animal and Go are unforgivable IMO, as this show was supposed to be representative of the 93-95 era. In that respect it misses the mark. Also, I agree with previous comments about the sound of the release.

I think that there are many other examples of 94 era shows that would have been better as an official release, or that would challenge as one of their greatest shows.

Having said that, I'm playing devil's (satan's) advocate and stimulating discussion :)
