Error of the moment: 2005-2006

I really loathed this Era of PJ history. It made me realize there will never again be a good time to be a PJ fan. One of their worst/abortive albums in their Discography was released, Self-Titled. I remember when I first heard the initial single like it was yesterday. I had just received my drivers license and I was cruising around when my local radio station started to hype up how within the hour they were going to play the new PJ single called WORLDWIDE SUICIDE. It was the day after or before Easter. I remember driving fast so I can get home to tape it.

I remember hearing Worldwide Suicide for the first time. I THOUGHT IT WAS ABSOLUTELY DREADFUL! I was so unhappy. (No Code and Riot Act were a tremendous source of inspiration for me) within the next few days, maybe a week they played GONE/LIFE WASTED/SEVERED HAND and UNEMPLOYABLE. I really could wait for SELF-TITLED to be released. I remember when the single was released. Worldwide Suicide/Unemployable. LOL I played that CD Single morning -noon-night, and it never got any better! Then one afternoon on my way home from High School, the local radio station was hyping up how later on that evening they were going to be playing the entire album from front to back commercial free. I couldn't believe it. I actually didn't believe it.

When the time came later on that night, sure enoughthey pplayed the whole thing! I DISLIKED IT SO MUCH! I remember when the album finally did release like 2 months later I purchased the CD/Cassette and even the vinyl.

PJ touted themselves as being "BACK TO FORM"

WAS A BAD TIME TO BE A PJ FAN!

Why in the hell are you mentioning "cassette" in a thread about a 2006 album?

Read the opening thread for the Era of the moment: 1997-1998. You'll see what he's done

The thread title was funnier than the thread content.

Much like Avocado, this was a half-assed attempt at reclaiming past glories.

I would have preferred the thread title pot shot but with an actual attempt at a summary of this era. But that's just me...
