The frustrating part is that they've only got 160 games left to get things figured out.Farmer John wrote:
As long as Arencibia doesn't catch Dickey anymore, they should be good to go.

Big lines at all Toronto hospitals, everyone suffering from broken legs and ankles after jumping off the bandwagon.

I don't have the slightest clue what to make of this team right now, other than "it's early."

Expected to be out 3 months. Could have been worse I suppose.

Like Gregg Zaun, I like the idea of Brett Lawrie playing 2nd.

Doesn't it make you feel dirty to say that?Farmer John wrote:Like Gregg Zaun, I like the idea of Brett Lawrie playing 2nd.
I don't mind moving him to second to see how it goes... he certainly seems athletic enough for it, and moving Bautista to third makes sense since they have more depth in the outfield than they do at middle infield.

Re: Toronto Blue Jays Thread
The "it's early" days are starting to dwindle. They obviously need to get the bats going more, but the defense seems to be the biggest problem. Hopefully they can get settled in after all the shifting around and handle themselves against the next couple weeks of AL East teams.

So apparently the Jays have decided not to bother with the whole "long, slow climb back to .500" thing.

Whether it's digging themselves into a huge hole, or climbing back to .500, these guys like to do things quickly.

They sure do. They're 25-15 in their last 40 games and just a few days away from adding Jose Reyes to the lineup. It's still the first half of the season, but this upcoming stretch against the AL East just might be the most important stretch of baseball they've played in the last 15 years.Farmer John wrote:Whether it's digging themselves into a huge hole, or climbing back to .500, these guys like to do things quickly.

Well, taking the first two against the Orioles is pretty awesome!
I can't believe I'm saying this, but one and a half seasons into not completely sucking has made Orioles' fans more insufferable than Red Sox fans.

I would have found that stupid if O'Day hadn't been trash talking after the strikeout yesterday. Given the series of events that lead up to it, it was awesome.Farmer John wrote:

after seeing obnoxious red sox fans pour of out of the red sox 'nation' from places like delaware, norther virginia, pennsylvania, and even maryland since '04 in camden yards, i hope you have a case to make.
