Amazing.
Really surprised by how good it is.

Did you enjoy it?LoathedVermin72 wrote:holy fuck this was intense
I did. The whole second half of the movie is pretty much one extended set piece, and I was kinda blown away by its craftsmanship. Crazy levels of intensity are achieved. Who knew Krasinski had this in him as a filmmaker?Monkey_Driven wrote:Did you enjoy it?LoathedVermin72 wrote:holy fuck this was intense
That's great. This is probably the first horror movie I've ever wanted to see in theatres.LoathedVermin72 wrote:I did. I mean, they're definitely CGI, and I was skeptical of them at first, but I came around by the end. There's actually a little touch in the creature design near the end that made me feel a little nauseous. I appreciate that they don't shy away from the monsters, too - you see them full-on, and you see them a pretty good amount of time.bada wrote:Were the monsters scary or just your typical CGI cartoons?

Much like Get Out, there seems to be a real, genuine love for genre cinema here. The opening sequence is pure Romero (mostly Day of the Dead, with a little Land of the Dead too), and it's nice to see so much Signs influence. I love that movie.
Everything about this, from the author, to the content, gives me a bonerLoathedVermin72 wrote:
