Movie: World War Z

Post by E.H. Ruddock »

Apparently this might be stretched into a 3 movie series. Has anyone read the book(s)? After reading more about the plot, I'm going to start reading this before the movie.

The history of the script, and especially the last minute third act work and supposed watering down of the political undertones, have me worried.

The audiobook is badass, though. John Turturro and Henry Rollins both voice characters.

I'm pretty sure this is going to be a piece of shit. it doesnt seem to have anything to do with the book, other than there are 'zombies'.

That is disappointing, because I just read the plot of the book and it seems very interesting.

I listened to the Audio Book and it is GREAT!

The movie looks horrible. the CGI looks really bad. THe story looks so different.

If you take it as just a summer movie, and not as anything to do with the book....then it doesn't look as stupid as GI Joe, After Earth, or Oblivion.

I'll be seeing it based soley on Brad Pitt's presence. There are not a lot of actors today that I'd do that for. Of course I've never really seen Pitt in a huge blockbuster before. Aside from Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

Was the half you saw any good? It must have been somewhat decent since you're pissed off.
