I need to give American Soul a listen, but it's not likely to beat Kite, which is my favorite U2 song post Achtung.

I kinda agree with stip on this one. I absolutely love Kite. It might be my favorite since that album. Probably is.

I remember listening to a thirty-second teaser clip of Kite over and over, and being so excited for that album to come out.
American Soul is a flaccid protest(?) rocker from a band that doesn’t know how to protest or rock anymore.

Kite is fine, I guess, but American Soul is awful (and yet maybe the best [ie, least bad] song on the new record)

I dont care for Kite, but AJ is embarrassing.
