I was pleasantly surprised by that.
Will I listen to this record in preference to their earlier records? Probably not, but I think it's a notable achievement for a bunch of weathered rockers at their age to have released a song that doesn't suck terribly.
The quality of the rip is awful, which probably doesn't help.

They debuted another new song in New Zealand, The End of the Beginning.
Sounds interesting.

I'm going to the Copenhagen show on Nov 26 and the Belfast show on Dec 12, providing the reunion lasts that long. They cancelled my Rotterdam show last year, but i got to see the Afghan Whigs in Amsterdam the same night instead. What are the odds? I hope the reunion doesn't fall apart. Be the last band left i wanna see before i die. I mean, i saw fucking Spinal Tap live at Wembley Arena in 2010. No-one ever thinks they're gonna see fucking Spinal Tap live before they see a REAL band!

It looks like I'll be seeing these guys for free later this year.

That was about as good as you could reasonably expect a Black Sabbath show to be in 2013.
Which is to say they were, in some respects, terrible but still a whole bunch of fun.

Tony and Geezer were fantastic.
The drummer was terrible, worse than I'd even expected. Ozzy bellowed away only occasionally approaching the right note but the band all looked as though they were having a great time.

Tommy Clufetos, the drummer from Ozzy's solo band. Same dude that's been playing with them on this whole reunion jaunt.
