Deftones with an easy win here. This must be once Staind eliminated nearly all their nu-tendencies.

Epiphany is sorta pretty. Some decent melody.

7 Words is a weak ‘tones song but it still wins

The Staind video was "not available in your country", but nevermind, I really liked this Deftones song - probably one of my favourite songs in this tournament so far. It's great!

you can tell the Deftones guys wrote most of the stuff off Adrenaline when they were pretty young but man it was some sick shit back when it came out. They became a much better band on later releases but even with all the nu-ness on Adrenaline it still rips. Easy vote for 7 Words.

I'm not sure I've heard either of these songs before this tournament, though there's a chance I've heard "Epiphany" and just forgotten about it. It is a pretty little tune that gets quite a bit less bearable when Aaron Lewis sings anything above a mumble, which is really too bad.

"7 Words" is weird in relation to the other Deftones songs that I know. A droning post-hardcore style with Chino shifting from muttering through the verses to screaming in the choruses, and then there's also that little thrash breakdown in the middle. To be honest, I don't really like it all that much more than the Staind song. The one thing that puts it over the top for me is that there's nothing in it that grates like Lewis's vocals.
