Listening to a billion concerts it really feels like 90% of shows use Rearviewmirror or Porch as the end of the first set or encore 1. It's really kind of boring IMO. (In fact has Porch ever popped up somewhere else? RVM I know it has surprisingly.)

What other songs do you think could work in these positions?

I think they've used a COUPLE others before. I've seen Do the Evolution and Blood, didn't really like those. Betterman is one that works well.

They don't usually use Alive here but that'd work too.

But what about some others that they don't do very often?

I don't have any in mind but thought it was an interesting topic of discussion.

A really good Daughter could work - I think I heard them do one of those recently or on a 2000 boot or something but can't remember.

All felt fine to me. "Black" was maybe a bit anti-climactic, but it was an all acoustic encore so it made sense.

I've only seen the band five times, ranging between 1998 and 2014, and not once has RVM or Porch closed the main set, and RVM and Porch once each the first encore.

1/2 Full would make a great first set closer.

"Life Wasted" closed a number of sets on the '06 tour, I always liked that.

1/2 Full would be a great opener.

Pearl Jam shows should always open with one of: Release, Sometimes, Oceans, Long Road, Of the Girl, Can't Keep, Hard to Imagine, or Wash. Followed immediately by a rocker like Go, Hail Hail, or Breakerfall.

they opened with Porch a couple of times in 2005-2006, and closed the show with it several times

I agree with 1/2 Full. I think Corduroy could work. Immortality too.

It's hard to go past RVM as a main set closer.

Of The Earth would serve as a good 1st set closer

Nothing from any of the new albums would work

in fact, did they even play anything from Lightning Bolt at any of the recent baseball stadium shows?
