Music Copyright / YouTube

Post by B »

So, when my kids have a milestone birthday, I put together these slideshow/videos of them set to music. I've always uploaded them to YouTube to share with friends and grandparents.

This year, the video got blocked for copyrights on two of the songs. I could change out the songs for free stuff, but they're specifically chosen to match my kids' tastes.

Any idea where I can upload this video and embed it into my family website?

- I thought maybe dropbox, but I don't know if I can embed a video from there.
- I am guessing Facebook and Vimeo have similar checks on copyright, but haven't tested that out.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Well, that solution didn't work, but it put me down the right path.

Turns out, you can just hijack a YouTube code.
