Basquet Case is a bore. That Brand New song is pretty good.

Everyone needs to listen to Brand New’s 3 albums that came out after this one, those are where the good shit is really at. Especially The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me and Science Fiction.

I like Basket Case but Brand New is way better.

To me there is a huge chasm between the '90's bands in this tournament that essentially rode the alt-rock wave of fame and the early '00's stuff that sounds like it was made to be included on compilations that were given away for free at Journeys Shoes. Maybe it's just the memories talking but this Brand New song sounds like a whiny, shiny bunch of nothing to me. "Basket Case" has a great melody and a self-aware sense of humor -- a stone cold classic. Easy vote.

I listened to Deja Entendu almost non stop when it came out.

Just can't vote for this song now after finding out what a creep Jesse Lacey is.

There's a real disconnect between the vote and what people are saying in this thread.

Love this song, love this album. Easy vote for Brand New.

I am undecided because, though I would rather listen to the Brand New song right now, "Basket Case" is an enduring classic and brilliantly emblematic of the genre

I don't really like Basket Case, but it's iconic for a reason.

Basketcase. it's classic. and that Brand New song sounds like a bunch of prepubescent 6th graders.
