Less Than Jake’s song was in Tony Hawk 4, but Goldfinger’s cover was in Gran Turismo 3.

Nah, random goofy shit seemed pretty common in the punk/ska realm.

The breakdown in 99 Red Balloons is agreeably Nu-esque. I’ll vote for that

I enjoy both of these songs to some degree. It's probably the only match this round where I can say that.

I guess I'll vote for the cover because at least the original was good, though I'm deducting points because the english version pales in comparison to the German.

I'll go for 99 Red Balloons because I prefer the song to the other one here, but seriously, what's with all the Pop Punk covers over in seppo land? I don't think that was such a big phenomenon this side of the Pacific. Seems pretty lazy to me.

Fun-ish fact: John Feldman, the frontman for Goldfinger, is a pretty prolific record producer who has worked on albums by Blink 182, Papa Roach, 5 Seconds of Summer, 311, Good Charlotte, Panic! At the Disco, Plain White T's, and Hilary Duff, among many others.

First tough matchup so far. Voting for Less Than Jake because i completely forgot about this song and how much i used to love it. 99 Red Balloons is good as far as covers go, but it still feels like a novelty and Goldfinger had better tunes.

Less Than Jake just because it's not a shitty cover.
