The TKAA music video is still pretty cool, dated CGI notwithstanding

At the time, I thought "TKAA" was one of the better songs on "Americana," but I don't feel anything for it now. I like the guitar riff, but it's a musically flat song with a pretty stale message.
The Smash Mouth cover on the other hand is a lot of fun -- something this music seems to aim for so often yet achieves so infrequently.

One cool thing about it is the descending harmony line that kicks in on the second chorus -- "chances thro-o-own", "longing fo-o-or"-- it's a touch that I grew accustomed to after years of knowing the song, but revisiting it now I am reminded of how that part was what got me hooked on the song in the first place.

Smashmouth is a dumb meme.
Someone convince me Guy Fieri is not the singer of Smashmouth.
