Never heard of the Aquabats, are they like the Devo of pop-punk? I kind of like this song.

Sort of. They definitely embrace the goofiness of the music. They all wear the uniform and adopt cartoonish stage names and even had their own Yo Gabba Gabba-esque TV show for a while.tragabigzanda wrote:Never heard of the Aquabats, are they like the Devo of pop-punk? I kind of like this song.
"I Feel So" is an awful song. I think it's interesting how nu-metalish that main riff is. It sounds like something by Korn.

Hey, I just realized both these songs feature Travis Barker on drums! (He played in The Aquabats under the pseudonym Baron Von Tito)

Yeah, change that to a minor chord and swap out the vocals, and it's a Nu Metal song for sure.theplatypus wrote:Sort of. They definitely embrace the goofiness of the music. So...there's more than one band with Tom DeLonge on vocals and Travis Barker on drums? .......Why? How is this different from blink?

Not only that, but there's a song on the Box Car Racer album that also features Mark Hoppus.
Box Car Racer was Delonge's "experiment" that he did in between Blink albums. He wanted to make something that had more of an edge than what Blink had been doing up to that point. What's funny is that when Blink returned for their following album, they pretty much sounded like Box Car Racer.

Tom Delonge is a moron if he thinks Box Car Racer is any different from Blink 182 (or Angels and Airwaves for that matter).
Voting for Aquabats, fuck Tom Delonge.
