A thread about design and cool book covers. Here is a personal favorite of mine:

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I was always a big fan of the red carousel horse on the cover of The Catcher in the Rye.

This is my favorite of all of my library "wtf is that cover, I have got to read it" books. It was the imagery of Rudolph - of course - but also the radioactive symbols falling with the snowflakes and the flames at the bottom that got me. And I have to say it did not disappoint with any of those things.

Fors was a mutant. In the wreckage of mankind's hopes, he faced the menace of the Star Men.

Me too. Probably my second favorite book of all time, right behind Beloved.
