Since we have no volunteers for the 12th team I am giving you (yes you) the vote on how to pick the 12th team. Your options are as follow:

1.) The Best of the Rest

This option has the 12th team picking last in the draft for the first round and continuing as usual in the snake style order. The 12th team will "draft" the best video game that hasn't been picked by other RMers from IGN's list of the Top 100 Video Games of All Time (https://www.ign.com/lists/top-100-games). For example, the 12th team would draft Super Mario World if no one had picked it previously.

2.) RMers Pick

Random RMers get to pick a game each round for the 12th team. Any RMer who has posted in the Video Game subforum is eligible. Preference is given to those who don't have a team. M_D will randomly determine each round who picks.

3.) Lenny Gets a Team

The least desirable option.

Please vote in the poll above by Thursday 9 am Eastern Time/8 am CDT. Let's plan to start the draft Thursday afternoon.

I feel RMers Pick would be too complicated and Lenny wouldn't cooperate. Therefore, I vote for the first option.

It would basically be participants of the Pokemon Go thread and LV. They could pool their expertise.

To me, it's about getting people to cooperate in a timely manner, which will already be enough of a challenge in drafting teams.

Isn't 11 teams an awful lot by RM draft team standards?

1 would work the best. 2 sounds the most fun.

It's funny, I really like some of the people that work there, but I hardly ever visit the site other than reviews. Just podcasts and reviews. Everything else is just shitty Marvel and Fortnite clickbait.

Sure IGN sucks, but that's not the point. The IGN team will surely snipe a few games we all had our eyes on, adding a bit of chaotic normie zest to the mix.

There is no need for this. One of the randomly assigned matchups can just be a three-way, with one team being voted out.

I'm thinking pool play to determine the top 8, then it goes to head to head single elimination matchups. Hence the 12 teams (3 pools of 4). I hate starting with head to head matchups because the second best team can lose in the first round.
