This is sort of tough. Life Wasted is one of my favorite PJ songs (certainly top 20 - probably top 10) but few live versions capture the frazzled energy of the studio version, and the hugeness of the outro. This one comes really really close
In Hiding is a song I don't really care for on the album but generally comes alive (no pun intended) in a live setting, in part due to the audience participation. This is a really good sounding live version (listen to Eddie hit that 'hiding' - he sounds better than he does in the studio) but the audience isn't captured here, and the rest of this is a faithful (no pun intended) presentation of a song I don't care that much about.
Life Wasted gets my vote.

After listening to both this is a pretty easy vote for Life Wasted. The definitive live version of In Hiding is on SVT. I’m not even a big fan of LW, but that’s a killer performance.

As a semi-casual fan, Life Wasted just doesn’t do a lot for me.

I’m not a big fan of the song either, I definitely like In Hiding better, but that performance of LW shreds. And we were there!

Yeah I'm in the camp that thinks LW is merely "good" but that performance elevates it. You can see how laser focused and excited they are - it's dare I say, inspiring?

These are two great performances of these songs (Life Wasted was surely never better live than in '06), so I think it's going to come down to the better song, which is In Hiding (I feel like this kind of thing may end up happening a lot in the tournament, if the live performances are going to be the cream of the crop).

I really like Life Wasted, but this performance of In Hiding really elevates the song for me. After the '98 tour they never seemed to get it right.
