I am a full-on Masked Singer conspiracy theorist. I think the judges know who the singers are, I think the performances are lip-synched, and I think the voting is rigged.

My wife dropped some incredible Joey Fatone knowledge before he was revealed last night. Bear in mind that she guessed this correctly weeks ago before any clues were revealed about him, simply by the way he cocked his head. Last night The Bunny mentioned that he had performed behind a mask before, and without a beat my wife offered, "He used to work at Disney World." I have never seen her more ashamed. The Lion was the first singer who she hasn't guessed correctly, and I don't even think the woman's name had been mentioned on the show yet--and if you gave me a thousand guesses and even told me who her famous parents are (a clue dropped a few weeks ago), I never would have guess Rumer Willis because I have no idea who she is. I am probably the worst Masked Singer guesser who has ever existed. I have said that I'm a Masked Singer conspiracy theorist before, and a contestant's name never being mentioned seems to cut against that, but I contend that it's all part of the deeper conspiracy: make things seem legitimate but making this person seem unexpected. This is a Quiz Show for the 21st century, people.

If you're wondering how this season is going so far: the first two singers unmasked were Johnny Weir and some guy who plays videogames on Twitch for a living.

Mrs. Torture is now 2 for 3 this season, correctly guessing that the Panda was Laila Ali. Four more monsters next week and the first round is over. I have still to guess anyone (correctly or incorrectly), but feel pretty confident that the Skeleton is Dan Aykroyd.

Ruddo, should I ask the mods to move this to the Other Bands forum?
