Don't Gimme No Lip (Portland 2006-07-20) vs. Pendulum (Philadelphia 2013-10-22)

Fun performance of Don't Gimmie No Lip but it's a nothing song. Even a good performance of it is still going to have me feeling a bit cheated (why didn't I get another song).
I loved getting pendulum live - the atmosphere it creates is different from what's on the studio track (less sparse, more stormy) but still really cool. Good performance by Eddie once the song gets going. I really liked this one

Couldn’t care less about DGNL. Pendulum is debatably PJ’s best song of the last decade.

A lot of good songs on those last two records (if you're me, anyway)

Yeah Pendulum isn't even the best song on Lightning Bolt.

Don't Gimme No Lip is a weak track. Another easy pick, this time for Pendulum.

"Don't Gimme No Lip" is (a) a fun song with (b) Stone on vocals, two things the PJ songbook could use more of. "Pendulum" is mood music that sounds pleasant enough but leaves no lasting impact. These live versions bring out the best in both songs, so I'm just going to go with the song I'd rather hear: "Don't Gimme No Lip."

I thought Pendulum served a nice purpose used as an opener on the '13-'14 tour.
