MPDGs are defined by the possibilities they represent for their beleaguered male counterparts, and are often characterized as somewhat "ethereal" or even aloof in addition to being quirky. "Adorkables" are just dorky and cute.

If Michael Cera were a girl, he'd surely be an "adorkable actress", but not a MPDG
