Mookie Blaylock Injured in Car Accident

JONESBORO, Ga. -- Mookie Blaylock, former NBA player for the Atlanta Hawks, is on life support following a car accident.
The vehicle collision happened just after noon on Friday, near Tara Boulevard and Dixon Road. The wreck, according to Jonesboro Police officer Franklin Allen, involved a van and a car. The car burst into flames on impact.
Blaylock and one other woman were both airlifted to Atlanta Medical Center. She is in critical condition.

Former NBA player Mookie Blaylock is listed in serious condition following a car wreck Friday night.
The All-Star guard, who spent seven seasons with the Atlanta Hawks, was driving his SUV when he crashed head-on into a van, leaving a female passenger in the other car dead.
Hospital Spokeswoman Nicole Gustin tells E! that
Mookie Blaycock was in critical condition when he was brought to the Atlanta Medical Center on Friday night. Today,
Blaycock is listed in serious condition.

And Mookie's getting support not only from ballplayers like Clippers star Chris Paul but also from the band Pearl Jam, who named their debut album Ten after Mookie's jersey number.
The band tweeted: "Sending good thoughts to Mookie" along with a photo of the former player.
