Shakehand here. I'm a natural spinner. Can't even help it. Same with tennis. Maybe it's the shape of me. My opponents hate it but I really look stupid when I whiff, which is somewhat common when you're a spinner.

Why do you call it Pingo?

Is this a thing? It's just as many syllables to say the game's name correctly.

or is Pingo a different game?

Also, did you just say you're a spinner?

We started calling it "Pingo" because in order to decide who serves first before the game starts, we do a thing called "Ping for it!". My cousin and I would always go "P-I-N-G...-O!" and we all thought it was hilarious and started calling it Pingo. Yes, I am a spinner. Top, bottom, side spin, other side spin, under cut spin,... every kind of spin.. I just do it and it comes naturally. I literally blow peoples' minds.

Yeah, that's what we do, but we go through P-I-N-G-.. and now O before the volley begins.

Not too enamored with this thread though.

Played Pingo last night with my cousin and my mom. Most of the time was my cousin who is a certified counselor counseling my mom to feel better about my older brother, her oldest. I learned a lot about counseling. He's really good.

What's your method for neutralizing spin? It's kinda hard when my top spin is coming full speed and landing at the very end corner of the table when it didn't look like it was gonna land at all, or when my slice lob barely makes it over the net and bounces very lowly back into the net.
