I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I went to the Bolshoi Ballet in Moscow in 1990. I was 14 so only mildly interested/impressed.

I'm seeing a performance of Vivaldi's Four Seasons at the Sydney Opera House in October.

Seeing a performance of The Nutcracker a few days before Xmas. It's a production created especially for children.

We’ll probably see the same deal this season
Why would you see the one created for children, trag? Your kid isn't old enough to remember this, just go see an adult production

Also, I love the nutcracker but my lady thinks it's too long. And she's in local theater. Oh, the irony

The local production is “for families,” meaning a handful of talented adults and then a bunch of 6 year olds. They’ve got a tight little chamber orchestra though, so I’m down.
