Mitch McConnell Destroys the World

A thread for talking about how McConnell is killing us all.

Obama was a bit lackadaisical in filling court vacancies in the first six years of his presidency, and when Dems lost the Senate McConnell instructed his caucus to say no to more than just Merrick Garland in the judiciary. The GOP, who has historically cared about the courts more, has been more aggressive in getting them filled, and it helps them that the courts are one thing that Trump doesn't care much about and where he's willing to follow.tragabigzanda wrote:One question about all the court stacking: was there an abnormally high amount of vacancies during this administration? Or would a Dem president effectively balance the courts back out?
I agree. Like him or hate him, he's been one of the most influential Senate Majority Leaders ever.Rob wrote:I honestly think Mitch McConnell will be written about by historians much more than any politician who wasn't president in this era.

Oh, for all the turtle jokes he's been a ruthlessly effective leader for the conservative side and very cut throat behind the scenes.Green Habit wrote:I agree. So I google black pill and there's a wiki article:Mickey wrote:That Mitch McConnell is actually Scarface shit is by far the most blackpilled political discourse in America.
A catastrophic prophecy or spiritless prophesying for the future that is not necessarily grounded in reality. A red pill gone hopelessly bleak.
ex. John had swallowed too many red pills over the last few sleepless nights and tried to black pill me that the race war would be happening any day now.
ex. Because of a bad breakup, Steven black pilled himself into believing that all women would cheat on him no matter what. A month later, he unexpectedly swallowed a white pill when he came and his new girlfriend kept sucking, proving the existence of a divine spirit and a glorious future for mankind.

The tombstones named Amy McGrath, his main Democratic opponent in the 2020 Senate race for Kentucky, as well as Judge Merrick Garland, whose nomination to the Supreme Court he blocked during the last year of Barack Obama’s presidency
