I'm a 36 year-old white guy, it's not like I'm going to become more qualified to record a rap album as I get older, so better do it now. Bandcamp link: https://lesfreresheureux.bandcamp.com/a ... ield-loops

Is that main guitar riff in the first track an original or a sample? Because I absolutely love it.
Also the in a silent way reference...

It's both! It's from a song I recorded in 2001, when I was in high school. So, it's me playing, but...18 years ago.
All the samples on here are from various songs I've recorded throughout the years (as well as some drum and various other samples from a web community called Looperman, where sampling noobs can download royalty-free samples).
Thanks for listening, dct!

Well done, KD. I’m no connoisseur of the hips and the hops, but I think it’s awesome that you are doing creative things and chasing and accomplishing dreams. Good for you man. I also thought that guitar part Joey mentioned was cool.

That's awesome. Seriously, great work here. I really connected to that first track, big time. I'm really impressed.

It’s like if the singer from O.A.R. was a rapper

Thanks so much, VG -- no doubt Chili Peppers were a prominent influence when that guitar part was recorded!

This album seems like it would be a good place for a dis track against people who think when milk is pasteurized it means something about the cows being out in a pasture and not the scientist, Pasteur.
