There have been huge forest fires these last days in the South West of France, approximatively 300 miles away from Paris.
It's quite a reach to say it impacted Vedder's voice, but indeed the heat was brutal at Lollapalloza Paris (and worse the next 2 days if they stayed in the city) and the pit floor was only dust...
It really sucks for the people who are there, it looks like the band waited the last minute to cancel, hoping Vedder could sing tonight.

Came to post the same. Really disappointing, especially for Ed. Second tour in a row I've had a show cancelled the day of... And it's not sounding good for Prague either

Why not just have Ed speak the songs and turn it into a big sing-along or something? Put the lyrics on the screen and let the audience sing along and they'll feel like it's one of the most special shows of all time. They could still do something if they wanted to probably

They could do that too, a set of the ones sung by the other band members, a set of just the big hits with lyrics on screen where the crowd sings the lyrics, maybe a guest vocalist for a song or two if they could get it but it sounds like they couldn't. Still I bet people would still enjoy the show and it would go down as legendary amongst the PJ fandom
