Let’s give Al-Masih his own thread, shall we?

I watched E1 and I am intrigued.
Spoiler: show
I thought at first Eva was in the abortion clinic, but maybe she is going through chemo?

We made it through four episodes last night. Riveting TV, hour to hour, but nothing special. It was surreal to get the Reuters report of the Iran assassination on my phone last night while watching episodes.

"riveting tv" "nothing special"

Does not compute.

Not everything has to be special, strat. That's what makes the special things special.

Riveting tv just sounds like a very special declaration for a non special show.

Riveting as in engrossing or compelling. Is everything that is compelling considered "special" to you?

Anyway, Messiah keeps me watching, but nothing about it feels exceptional or truly unique.

Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Intrigued by this, but giving Dracula a go first since it’s from the Sherlock creators.

My wife and I have been watching this over the past few nights and have three episodes left. She'd definitely be caught up in the hype if something like this happened. She really wants this dude to be Jesus.

Please tell Mrs. Rangi that I’ve got a bridge and also that it’s for sale.

There's an HEB grocery truck assisting in relief effort in a few of the Dilley, TX scenes. As a Texan, I really appreciate the attention to detail there.
