Happy New Year!
I don't know about you but 2019 was a largely PJ-free year for me (I think I burnt myself out making the
Definitive Live compilation in 2018).
But this new compilation from Wendy Carlos's Twin has been just the ticket to drag me back in.

“Alone and Far Away” is a compilation of exceptional performances from Pearl Jam’s 2000 tour of Europe,
which marked the beginning of their official bootleg series 20 years ago. These bootlegs were originally
issued unmastered with an odd balance, anemic equalization and low volume levels. These issues have been
fixed for this compilation, which is dedicated to all the comedians at the Red Mosquito Forum.
Original audio recorded and mixed by Brett Eliason.
Assistant engineer John Burton.

This has been in the making for a while now. Just for the record, the remastering done here is nothing like my half-assed work on Brad's 6-disc comp, nor the Soundboard Remasters Series. It coincides with some interesting advances that allowed me to achieve results similar to the original "Live On Two Legs" album, which is pretty much the cornerstone for live PJ. I hope you guys like it!

I cannot wait to listen to this! I just finished re-listening to the US legs this past fall.

This sounds great. Verona always sounded good to me; love the squashed drums, but this is a helluva improvement. Thanks!

Holy sh*t, I can't believe how great these tracks sound. I would agree that the audio rivals "Live On Two Legs". Huge thanks for this. This is a hall of fame release.
